all depends what kind of wheeling you do.

Fabtech 6" looks cool but is useless off-road unless you keep just the drop bracket and replace the rest. well over $2500 to do it right.

I run a prg advanced on my fronty and love it. SPC uca, radflo coilovers, aal and shackles in the rear. Rear isnt setup how it will be so i just used a bandaid. Can run alot of trails this way

That being said, i ran rancho quicklifts in my xterra with 1/4" spacer on top, stock uca, aal and shackles. it was sufficient, but the coilbucket contact drove me nuts.

I live in colorado up in the mountains, so even my hunting and fishing spots are pretty burly. Plus, I enjoy moderate rock crawling so I went for all nice stuff for my fronty. The radflos ride awesome on the road even without a sway bar. Granted, I drive dump trucks and heavy equipment for a living so anything rides better than my work vehicles but even my wife drives my truck with the sway bar off and has remarked about how great it drives on road.

If you're looking at bracket kits I'd go Calmini over Fabtech every day of the week. Their cust service is horrendous but the end product is a much better design. And yes, it'll take a lot deeper trip down the rabbit hole to get it to perform really well off road but you can build a real beast if you don't mind throwing some money at it. Biggest pros are clearance for bigger tires and clearance under the frame and drive train.
Just my .02 from someone who's had both kits as well as several other smaller kits.

Not only does it depend on what kind of wheeling you do but your ability as a driver, tolerance for trail rash, and other parts you have or plan on having in short order. Skids, sliders and lockers (& winch) make up for height. For most areas/situations. Rock sliders & skidplates let you drag your belly with no to little damage, and lockers let you ignore when you have a wheel (or 2) off the ground.

Do you have an auto trans or manual?
