My 2008 CC 4x4 was purchased new from the dealer in December 2009. Since then, I have come to find that some stuff that should have been in the truck upon delivery are missing:

- First-Aid Kit
- Cabin air filters
- Cover for front accessory outlet (since replaced)

Sure, not a huge deal - some have said that the first-aid kit is not really that useful, but still. Considering the BS I had to deal with from the dealership and Nissan USA (crappy after-market door locks and power window system) I should at least have these items in the truck when I drive off.

What was missing when your truck left the lot?

A working passenger airbag turn-on key. I haven't had a passenger airbag since I got the truck.
I cant turn mine off.

as far as missing items. transfer case, front differential, shifter,
I went in wanting a 4x4, got convinced the DR was almost as good most of the time which it is. just not as good all the time.

Sounds like you have an SE.
You don't get a first aid kit in an SE and the cabin filter is a option for the SE.

Should have gotten a NISMO....:)

My Nismo was part of a small range of 08s that was missing the "security system" module.
That includes the engine immobilizer and alarm.
It took some time, but my dealer eventually got the parts from Nissan
and now I have all the stuff I paid for. (I think!).

Once in awhile I like to "sunday shop" when I'm bored. I'm blown away more stuff out of vehicles isn't missing when people get them. Quite often a fair number are unlocked. I've sat in corvettes, loaded mustangs, you name it. All of the accessories, floor mats, etc. is often just laying there in the backseat or trunk. I remember one dealer back before they put tailgate locks on pickups had over a dozen tailgates stolen one night. The dealer I got my frontier from had a few cataylitic converters stolen off their cars a few years back...go figure. They left mine unlocked before i bought it. The hitch drawbar, all the bed cleats, etc. were right there. Anyone could have walked of with a few hundred dollars of accessories!

I did not get the bolt to the door of the in-cabin microfilters.
I went to another dealer and they shoved some other kind of bolt in that is a mile long and takes forever to get out. :thatswck:
That was about 5 years ago. Haven't done anything about it since. I may just do something this weekend since I just now realized it.

My local dealer had the tie down cleats in all of theirs. I just assumed there was something that kept them from being removed until I got mine and saw how easily they are. As expensive as they are I'm surprised someone hasn't walked away with another set yet.

Mine had them seperate, stil in the box, in the service area. Apparently people were stealing them from the trucks while parked in the lot.

Slightly off topic, but a good story nonetheless:

Several years ago a friend of mine took a newer Z28 on a test drive...during the test drive he took it back to his house and swapped the aluminum driveshaft off it it with the steel one from his older Trans Am. A few weeks later, a friend of his bought the same car that he test drove...and always gave the guy hell about having the wrong driveshaft haha...That same friend has also taken floor mats and other stuff out of brand new vehicles that are unlocked at dealerships. I don't condone his practices but it is a pretty funny story to tell.
