Removed the Volant. MPG took a massive hit. Will see how much it comes up.
Clarification:
You're saying the Volant caused a massive hit to fuel economy? Right foot related or just a plain ol' hit??

Yesterday I got around to installing the JDM ASTAR LED bulbs (reverse light)
which some of you raved about. I inserted one side and stepped back to
power it up. Hmm, cursing, it didn't appear any different than the OE
halogen bulb. Disappointed, I proceeded to the other side anyway just so
I could have LED bulbs.

I then noticed that I had an LED bulb left over. Huh? I opened up the
first socket and found that I had simply reinserted the halogen bulb back.

I probably shouldn't have tried installing it while listening to the closing
stock market results yesterday.

I corrected my error and powered up the bulbs - oh my lord ! The
photo doesn't do justice to the 10x increase in brightness. I would
be surprised if I didn't get a caution from some overzealous LEO. But
I will keep these on until I do.

p.s. added wall photo

Passed the truck through a carwash and was dumbfounded to see this. My truck is practically brand new. Guess it's time to get some touch up paint and give it a little custom touch.

That should be covered under the initial bumper to bumper warranty even though it is cosmetic. My wife's Versa did the same thing on it's grille emblem and they covered it under warranty.

Plain hit. Not much of a lead foot, especially in the snow. The drop coincides with using winter fuel though. I was getting 16-17.5 and dropped to 12.5. First fill up after removing the volant was back up to 15. I'll give it a few more tanks and average. I do miss the responsiveness of the volant.

for your amusement: I learned how to use my cruise control for the first
time since I purchased the truck 2 years ago. During my freeway drive
yesterday, each time I tried to set the cruise speed, it would not lock in
nor did I see the display on the instrument panel change from CRUISE
to CRUISE SET.

After approximately 10 miles of driving, I figured out that it only takes
=< an ounce of pressure on the clutch pedal to disable cruise mode.
Apparently I had a habit of ridng the clutch pedal with my big toe on
the pedal.

Good thing it was dark out so I couldn't easily see my face turning red
in the mirror.

{sheesh}

I painted my sliders, rear bumper, rear diff, and then a few touch ups on the body as well. I less than three spray paint. I also realized that I have put off my brake job way too long, all the ABS/VDC/Slip lights are coming on and now staying on. **sigh**

Took advantage of 3 days with no snow or salt in the forecast and rinsed it down, undercarriage and all at the DIY car wash. Greased the tie rods yesterday and topped off washer fluid.

Finally got around to replacing the blower motor resistor. Now the heat and AC work past half power. Also replaced my fm/am antenna with a short. And put in new headlights. Not big projects, but things that needed done
