I currently have a flowmaster 50 series on my 06 frontier vq40. It is a single in single out that splits to a dual exhaust. It is on the louder side and I am looking to getting something a little quiter but still with a nice rumble on takeoff. What better place to ask than a forum full of people with all types of exhausts lol. So please let me know what you would recommend....im not good with this stuff. Thanks!

you might like the flowmaster 40 series better. But i havent heard a 50 series on a frontier, so i dont know how much louder it is.

I recommend the Doug Thorley/Jardine catback. That's what I have and I love it. Not too loud but has a nice little burble to it.

I have the banks system, I have heard complaints about the drone but its really not that bad.

I would not dump it before the wheel. This will cause more drone for you.

I would also suggest that you do some kind of dual in with a single or dual out depending if you want 1 or 2 tips. This allows you to eliminatethe Y-pipe. Also, keep it in the 2.25" range so that you don't loose your TQ.
