I know just know enough about wheels to be dangerous.

If I decide to upgrade my 15" steelies when the original treads finally wear out, and I put on the 16" alloys from a SE or NISMO/Pro-4x, what am I to do about my spare?

Can I put a taller tire on it so the roll length will be the same? Would I need to purchase an inexpensive steel wheel of the same size as the new alloys?

Reason I ask is when looking for sets of OEM 16" alloys from 05-current they seem to be sold only in sets of four.

You can go up or down in wheel size without changing the overall diameter of the wheel/tire combination. It depends on what size tire you buy. Check out these pages at discount tire's website: Tire & Wheel Plus Sizing - Discount Tire and Tire Dimensions Made Simple - Discount Tire

ok thanks! so i see about the plus 1 plus 2 sizing. my stock size with the 15" is 235-75R-15. That's a 28.88" diameter overall. my end goal is to up the tire size a bit though - my speedo is 2 mph too fast.

the stock size on the 16" is 265-75R-16 right? That would be a 31.65" diameter.

So I would need to put a tire on the spare to match that diameter - right?

thanks!!!
