Well, this past Sunday made 4 weeks I've had my '09 KC.


Last Friday on the way home some guy rear ended me while I was stopped at a light. I angrily got out of my truck only to find me rear bumper only slightly pushed in & down. Oh well, I thought it was going to be worse. The front of his Dodge minivan was looking pretty bad.


Fast forward 5 days later to today: I'm only the expressway & the exit to another expressway is pretty backed up & there is stop & go traffic. I stop, then I go, then I have to stop again & BAM! Another idiot rear ends me!!!!!


I can't believe my luck!!! I hadn't been in an accident in almost 20 years & now in a span of 5 days I get hit twice! I get out of the truck really pissed off & look & there is no further damage than what happened on Friday. I turn & look at his car (A small Chevy something) & that thing looked destroyed! I mean his bumper, grill, lights & hood where really beat up.


So now I have 2 police reports from 2 different idiots who hit me & only minor damge. I'm pleasantly surprised at how tough this truck is.

haha thats awesome man! these trucks do hold up well. you gunna have some insurance money to spend on a new bumper or what? glad you werent hurt, or any of the idiots that ran into you lol

Yup. I was rear ended by a civic a month or so ago...just a scratch on my bumper and the civics front end was all jacked

I'm not sure how the 2 insurance claims thing wouold work. I mean, I already filed the claim from the first accident, but I think I should get something from this one too.

It was two seperate accidents. I wonder if I got estimates could I get one insurance to fix the damage & have the other just cut me a check.

Sounds like "mod money" to me... fix the bod, and on for some mods.lol. tell them your neck hurts and you might just have it paid off!

This is what happens when the frontie hits a guard rail then Tacoma after loosing it on an icy overpass. :crikey:

Adjuster estimate over $14.8K and totaled it out. Wasn't doing more than 25 when it let loose. One of the worst days of my life, but everybody OK.

yeah, since my exhaust pipe is bent I was hoping to maybe be able to get an aftermarket exhaust. Anything more would probably be watch money (I collect mechanical watches).

But I won't say anything hurts or anything like that. I'm just not like that. I'll be happy just getting it fixed

Nothing moved except the bumper. I looked at everything really good & everything looked fine & well aligned.

Did yesterday. 08 nismo cc with 11.4K miles. Nice truck but have to get over the idea that a lady named Robin purchased it new and traded in for a maxima at Lancaster Nissan. Really wanted to find another 4x2 LE, but there are none available in the whole mid-atlantic area.
To be honest I was just out driving today and thinking this thing is really a dog compared to my 4x2 LE. Maybe that will change when I switch out the exhaust and put the volant in.

That Aies looked like it was made out of tinfoil covered TP core. I'm not sure it would have held up the driving lites I was going to put on it. :hick:

You might get both to pay if its two seperate insureance companies, but I wouldn't push the issue. talk to the second company, I would hate to see you fighting insurance fraud over a $1500 check.

yeah, I definately do not to delve in to any sort of fraud. But they were two seperate accidents.

But I'm also sure that one insurance comapany is not going to want to pay something that another company will fix.

I'm doing some research & trying to get an answer as to what I can

i run a hitch with a tow hook oin it for just this reason. i have had three cars hit me and nothing has happened to my truck. i got a chuckle each time.

I've been rearended recently too....sittin at red light.....2 weeks ago.

Chrysler sebring ran into the back. Her car was all messed up... hood crumbled/bumper gone/radiator pushed back.

Minor damage to truck...right rear bumper pushed in and pushed in the right rear fender a tab.... but its mainly a bumper replacement. Car ended up under the truck a tab.

Guess my tow hitch and ball destroyed her radiator..Oh well LMAO.

seems like a lot of Frontiers are gettin rear ended lately. about a month back, mine did as well. i guess our rear-ends just look so darn good. Sorry, had to say it. haha. Its good luck that both people that hit you had insurance. The dude that hit me was out of his policy. :comphead:
