I have a 2010 CC with about 1500 miles on her now.
and there seems to be a weird whining noise coming from the rear end.
It almost sounds like a corded drill whining together like gears meshing...a very high pitched noise.
At first I thought it was the tire noise but now I realize its not.
its not the engine I can put it in neutral and the noise is still there with the speed of the vehicle it gets lower and higher.
Im calling up the dealer to take a look at it under warranty but was wondering if any of ya had an idea what it is?

I am thinking that it is just the gears breaking in. The dealer appointment is a good thing but if you can't wait, just remove the fill plug on the diff and see where the fluid level is with your finger. As long as the truck is on level ground, it should be to the fill hole.
