Hello, I had a p0301 code and replaced plugs, wires and distributor. Still running very rough at idle, however I noticed this weird rattle coming from the top/front of motor. I have searched and haven't seen anything. Anyone have an idea, I have never dealt with supercharged vehicles so I am not sure if that could be an issue. Thanks in advance!

Found out the rattle was the coupler in the supercharger. Easy fix for that. Still getting the same code though.

I've noticed on mine that the lower the idle, the louder that supercharger rattle can be. When you replaced the distributor, did you get it timed properly? If the timing were off, that would explain the rough idle, and possible lower idle RPM's (which you didn't mention, I'm just guessing) causing the noise.

I haven't replaced distributor yet, just cap and rotor. The noise I was having was coming from the supercharger and when I replaced the coupler it still makes some noise, but not the rattle it had before. Also, the coupler just slid off, which I am pretty sure it is supposed to be a tight fit. I had to tap the new one on.
