I just got finished installing my new B pipes that remove the secondary cats. I bought them from RockAuto. They are stock replacements from 99-00 V6 Frontiers and will bolt up to 01-04 perfectly. They cost me about $100 total shipped and took me about 2 hours to install. Here are the part #s:

Pass side - 53345
Driver side - 54338

You can go Walker Exhaust Solutions From The Industry Leader and cross reference your truck just to make sure they will fit.

I immediately noticed how much better my Magnaflow sounded as soon as I fired it up and call tell the truck is definatly breathing better. The I.D. of the pipe is the same as stock the piping is double walled with an air gap for an integrated heat shield. The appearance is factory and I had no problem hooking the O2 sensors back up.

If anyone is interested I will throw up some pics.

BTW, my truck is an 01 Desert Runner Auto.

pass rear

Gave the truck a bath afterward for its 10 year birthday!

Very interested.

How did you get down to the bolts and remove them?

how did you get the 02s out? before or after you removed the cats?

You say they will work for the 01 - 04 Frontiers? Mine is an 03.

The pipes are all stock? I think this should be ok for me because my Nismo hooks right into the stock pipe right at the back end of the 2nd cat pipes.

I tired referencing the numbers you gave me and did not see them at Rock Auto or Walker. I see 53346 & 53349. However these look to have the Cat on them.

I'm probably doing something wrong, need some help.

You can go to the walker website and reference your truck. They have assembly drawings of the entire exhaust systems for all years. I verified that the pieces in front of and behind these parts were the same between my truck and the 99-00 trucks (which we know don't have secondary cats). I'm pretty sure it will work though.

Not stock pipes, they are different with regards to the heat shield (which I explained earlier), but fit up like stock.

The bolts were kind of difficult but basic-- extensions, U joints, impact, and thread penetrant.

I unscrewed the driver O2 with the pipe still attached, the passenger side I unplugged from uptop and dropped it down with the pipe.

Did you buy the gaskets or did them come with the parts?

... and the DT headers delete the 1st set of cats, right?
Yes, they are immediately after the stock manifolds. When you install an aftermarket header, they do not allow the reinstallation of the main cats.

Ive always wondered about this. Maybe someone more knowledgeable could shed some light, What if you get headers, these pipes josh19k got to delete secondaries, and a cat back, lets say the NISMO. Could you put cats elswhere, like for example on these "test" pipes where the secondaries used to be? I know you would have to re locate the O2 sensors to behind the new cats but, that all should work, right?

I dont see any reason that would not work. If you wanted to run no cats, put some spark plug defoulers on the secondary O2 sensors and be done with it.

Just a little update on the pipes... They definately removed some restriction. I have noticed easier acceleration and the sound is soooo much better. I am loving it.

yep these pipes plus headers mean no cats =D

you could have some aftermarket cats put on these pipes and relocate the rear stock o2 sensors

but why would you do that when like guys are saying run spark plug defoulers or AC's CEL eliminators. then you can have no cats and no CEL
:amazing:

Here in my county, all they do for inspection is look under the vehicle to see if you have all the necessary equipment (cats, muffler,..). If I can ever get some money, or when something goes bad, I think this is exactly what I'm going to do but I want catalytic converters. I've always assumed I could get away with headers and leaving the secondaries but now i figure it'd be better to get these pipes and a couple of aftermarket cats, just get rid of the stock crap all together.
