The block has 2 dowel pins per deck right?

I only have one on the driver side. The dowel closest to the cab is missing, but I have a hole in the block for it. Can't find it anywhere so I ordered a new pin

While I'm waiting I just want to confirm, the block is supposed to have two pins per deck right?

Is it a tight press fit? If the hole is clean will I be able to pound it in safely with a rubber mallet?

Should I put some red loctite on the block side of the dowel or just pound it in dry?

Thanks

Yes, there should be one on each side. No need for loctite; just pound it in with a plastic mallet or a hammer with a brass punch.

Okay, I'll wait until I get the heads back. I didn't check them good before I dropped them off because I was in a hurry. Hopefully the pin isn't flush in the head and they milled it like that, that would be sickening, I'd have to weld something onto the flush tip of the pin and extract it and the heat warpage would probably compromise the resurface
