they fit, more commonly done in the hardbodies, but its the same truck. It only requires "minor firewall modification" to clear the Chevy Distributer....

the nissan vk56, i would imagine, would NOT fir in the engine bay of a 1st gen, them engines are huge. i am not a fan of swapping in engines of other brands into a specific brand vehicle. you can get good power without using the extra 2 or 4 cylinders.

LOL.. funny post.. especially when there's really not much available for a vg33...

Best thing would be a gm 4.8/5.3/6.0.. in a frontier. It would be easier to swap than any vk, vh, vq, 1jz, or rb.

i wouldnt jump to that conclusion so fast?
any gm motor you would need to fab everything and most likely run a full stand alone. hybrid drive shaft, make room for the exhaust to clear. most likely have to maul your firewall and trans tunnel. its a lot of work either way

when you use your imagination, things are supposed to work. and yes it does fit, but its a tall motor so you might need some work done to the hood.

this goes for most engine swaps. doesnt matter if you are swapping a v8, a diesel, a rotary, a ford, a mopar, a chevy, or godzilla in there. if it didnt come there factory, then chances are youre going to have to fab up mounts, makes some clearance, get a driveshaft made, and generally make things work.

you are only limited by your skillset, or availability of cash.

I can't even believe I'm going to do this, but actually as much as I dislike any vg, there is moderately available parts, plenty of jackas's trying to get 800whp, and doing it. It may not be reliable or cheap but it is possible, I mean it is the same engine that came in the 300zx tt essentially, just a gay truck version...
I only know because my friend runs one and thinks its nissans god given gift  and always trys talk it up compared to the VQ:laugh:

But again gm's are cheap, make awesome power, ls's are availble with aluminum blocks, and all the parts to run it by them selves are at any sandrail shop, unlike any nissan, toyota, or modular ford engine( tho still available for the right price)
