Sorry, no can do. As a teacher, its highly frowned upon to have any accounts that students could have access to your profile.

Why can't you just make your profile private?
The students wouldn't have access. I know many teachers with Facebook accounts. I do applaud your being a good role model!

I've never had a Facebook account, or anything like it, so I don't know much about them. I do know that before I started teaching, I was told that not having one would be in my best interest. When I was hired, I was reminded again that it would be a bad idea. Hence, paycheck = no account.
