I got a battery for my 06 X at AZ.
they had the option for US or Canada versions.
My X was bought new locally and has never been further north than Missouri.
The battery that matched the OEM battery is for the canadian version.
ok, for the question. is there a difference between the trucks sold in the US vs Canada other than the instrument cluster being metric?

Canadian models have block heater in them. Also, the option packaging is different; much more limited up here. For example, in Canada the "value truck package", moonroof, and long bed is included in all LE's (whereas they are options in the US model). Don't know about the battery though; perhaps the Canadian one has higher cold cranking amps?

We don't have Ketchup flavored pringles in the US..
Your missing out.

But the trucks are pretty much the same, just as said above they come with a block heater, metric spedometer, and options packages are different, pretty standard canuck issue

my instrument cluster is in real units.
I dont have an engine block heater.
an canadians use too much ketchup.

the battery that AZ had for the US version had the terminal more centered and were reversed from what I needed.

I'm in Canada, but have a US truck. I just replaced my battery a couple months ago, and wasn't offered any options - but also didn't have any issues replacing the battery - visually the stock battery looked the same as the aftermarket I purchased.

One option though - the Canadian trucks have day time running lights. It had to be added to mine to pass an Out of Province inspection.

cant they just do the fog light mod /on with the park lights{if so equipped}[/QUOTE

I did the fog light fuse tap mod when I installed fogs and all I remember it giving me was independant control of my fogs (allowing me to have them on w/ high beams). What got rid of my DTRL was when installed my bi-xenon HID kit. A bi-xenon HID kit contains a HI/LO controller along with all the other standard stuff and that basically changes how the existing DTRL relays work inside the vehicle. IIRC the DTRL work on high beam at around 6V.
