All oil “creeps”. Kroil is most famous. It doesn’t spread, just works into cracks. And ff certainly does work into crevices. And it kills and stops existing rust. My 2001 Ranger was going downhill bad when bought used in 2010. Shackles were starting to flake. Ffilm 2x a year brushed on stopped everything. Still be driving it if a drunk hadn’t totaled it. Heavy salt use around here.
Glad the drunk didn’t total you, did you get hurt?
Personally I wouldn’t want to brush anything on, I’d want it sprayed instead. I am
pleased to hear of your enthusiasm for fluid film.
If I had to brush it on then I’d need it on a lift.
I do remember people saying they’d go for a ride in a dusty place or a gravel road so the dust adhered to the wet surface and not keep dripping especially at home on the driveway.

I had an undercoating sprayed on when i bought the truck. If you go for an undercoating option other than Fluid Film or similar you need to make sure you read the warranty fine print. Some required you to bring your vehicle in for yearly inspections in order to keep the warranty of the product, some do not. Either way, do it.
