lately ive been having a lot of popping noises from my front end so i decided to give my truck a little love and was gonna do the usual and grease my zerk fittings and found out one was stripped and loose to my dismay and in the same uca the other side had already previously been re drilled and a new fitting put in by greg at prg before i bought them (i did get them used for a great price)so i decided to swap back to my stock uca's till i could get it fixed when i dropped the spindle off the uca i grabbed it and shook it and there it was the clunk clunk was my uca damnit im not dogin prg i met greg hes a great guy

i guess long story short has anyone else ever had any problems with the bushings in there uca's and after i shook it i made sure it was torqued to spec and it was so i dont know what the prolem was suggestions welcome once i put the stock uca's back on no clunk or popping noise whatsoever

do the prg uca's just solve coil bucket contact issues or do they have any other benefits. i need to get some coil overs and unsure if i need new uca's with the cal mini or what. still considering titan swap with the cal mini as well. if i'm going to get coils and uca's anyway doesn't seem like too much more on top of that.

they help with coilbucket contact and if you get the heim adjustable ones they can help if you cant get a proper alignment also there alot beefier than stock even better yet they look way cooler i know vodkatrix is runnin calmini with the 2.5 coilovers with the remote resevoir and stock uca's and he does fine never complained about coilbucket contact u should shoot him a pm if you have any questions about it and now would be the time to decide about the titan swap would suck to buy fronty arms now just to buy titan ones a little later and if you install it yourself have fun rebuilding the cv's it didnt look like fun when i watched nizmut doin it to lil kims truck :)i think im gonna order some 2.5 radflo's and new arms on monday before i get laid off:thatswck:next job doesnt start till march/april

Wish I could help you, but I'm in the same boat. My truck is makin all kinds of noises. Paved streets are fine but I live on a dirt road with potholes and such. Mine has nothing to do with coilbucket contact. I can be drivin real slow like 5mph and it starts. I was just ouside tryin to figure out what it is, I tried disconnecting the swaybar and that didn't help.I've went through all the bolts and they're all tight. I think my next try will be recharging the radflo's and see if that helps, although it's been doing it ever since I put the kit on. I have the heim uppers and was thinking that with no rubber bushings that was what's causing all the noise. Don't you have the ones with bushings? I'm thinkin of switching them out for ones with bushings, but that might not be it either. It's really drivin me nuts, I don't always like my stereo turned way up LOL.

do you have the 2.0's or the 2.5's either way you should call greg from prg and explain the noise youre hearing hell probably be able to help u out but i had a number of problems because i bought everything used (problem#1)my coilovers arent long enough so at full droop my droopstops didnt hit my coilbucket so i could hear my shocks bottoming out and my bushings must be wore out in my uca's because quiet as a mouse with the stock uppers on now before i had bad clunking noise i hope you get it figured out good luck

well if greg can fix my uca's i wont need arms but he said my radflo's are probably the ones made for stock uca's thats why my droopstops didnt hit my coilbucket at full droop because the shock is shorter and i want all the wheel travel i can get so id rather have the 2.5's made for aftermarket uca's

Mine are the 2.0's, I guess I should contact Greg. One thing with mine is I have the 750 springs because I am planning to go to a aftermarket bumper. I read that the ride would be a little harsher until I got the bumper. I don't think the ride is that bad, it's just the noise. Could the heavier springs cause the noise? I wouldn't think so but maybe I'm wrong.

jack up your truck from the front and see if your droopstops hit the top of your coilbucket at full droop if you have a little gap the noise is the shock bottoming out or the uniball on your uca hitting the arm itself
