I have had custom tunes before. One for my Skyline and one for my Honda VFR.
The VFR had a K&N, European exhaust pipe with a Power Commander. The Skyline was fully rebuilt with cams, headwork and HKS turbo controlled by a stand alone Apexi Power FC ECU. A tune was required with the Skyline but the VFR tune offered only 2 more horses over the basic tune that is used for a aftermarket exhaust .
Since I'll be in California, a cat back/CAI or Stillen supercharger is all I can use without extensive conversion every few years for inspection.
While I understand that every engine is different even in the same lot number, I'm wondering if its worth the $900 for an additional few horses above what a hand tuner can offer.
Has anyone used a hand tuner then uprev?

Also, the standard Uprev tune is $700 for a custom tune and is what most people go with. If you really know your stuff, for $900 you can get the protuner system which allows you to do all the tuning yourself.

Unless I'm reading their site wrong, you don't have to spend anywhere near $900 to have a decent tune for your mods. The Osiris Standard comes with 3 E-tune updates and it's only $500.
