After looking around at trucks and tonneau covers I decided on a roll-up. Reading reviews they all seem to have good and bad comments. I decided on the Truxedo Truxport Tonneau Bed Cover from RealTruck.com for $289. Ordered it 0n 5/31 and received it 6/6. Now that the tropical storm Colin has left Florida I decided to install the tonneau today. I watched all the installation videos and read most of the help threads on this forum. My main problem was the installation of the weather stripping. There is a separate instruction sheet for the Frontier. You must install the “cab seal” and “bulkhead seal” before installing the cover. My problem was trying to determine which is the cab seal and which is the bulkhead seal. The diagram shows part #1703331 is the cab seal. I did not have a seal with that number so I used the seal without a number on the cab. It looks correct. Once I made that decision the rest went fairly quick. I put the clamps in the areas on the side of the truck where you can feel with your fingers holes that are cut out. This will let the clamp ride further up on the rail. Doing it like that will allow less issues in rolling the bed extender back and forward. My only issue after I had everything on and secured, I went to roll it up and NO VELCO STRAPS. I forgot to put the small straps around the back outside the bulkhead and had to loosen everything up and get those straps back out of the bed
That was my only mistake on this easy install. It should take one person about an hour. It looks good and once it goes through a rain storm I’ll know how water proof it is.
