Anyone use a truck cover for their 05+ Frontier? I'm getting to where I think I need one. The fact is now that I have a commute car, I only drive my truck once or twice every couple of weeks. Granted it might be more in the summer with 4x4ing and camping and yard work projects. But with it parked during the week it's getting pretty grody with bird crap and pollen and even a little sap.

I'm looking for a good quality cover that can be put on and taken off with relative ease and folds/rolls up quickly. I don't need one that goes so far as to be fitted for the side mirrors or anything. But this is going to be something I do year round so it needs to stand up pretty good to all weather conditions (rain/snow/sun/wind).

I've seen a few that almost look/feel like a thin fabric. I'm thinking a bit more heavy duty than that.

Thanks in advance!

I know it's not exactly info on a cover, but ... I looked into the same type of thing years ago, and was basically told by all my friends that any cover I got I'd end up being unhappy with ... Washing it in general, scratching up my car/truck, getting damage through it via the kids or mother nature dropping a small branch etc ... What I ended up going with was a reasonably large quonset hut (spelling?) 10'x22' ... Best choice I ever made ... Picked it up for a whopping $30 on CL and never looked back ... All spring/summer/fall it serves multiple roles as a car/truck cover, waxing station, and a general work area if I don't feel like working on the driveway or out in the hot sun ... Come winter time I unhook the cover and bring it in so that the snow doesn't kill it but the frame remains to give my little ones some boundaries ... Just some food for thought ...

Folding Tonneau Cover | Hard Tonneau Cover | Foldacover | Fold-a-cover

I have had one of these on my '05 since a few months after I bought it. I have been very happy with it so far and it is fairly water tight. I do get a little water in a hard rain, but I just wrap some plastic around anything I need to protect and have never suffered any water damage.

If you click on the link at the bottom of my signature you can see a few shots that show the cover. The only thing I don't like about it is that it gets hot to the touch in the summer. I just keep a pair of gloves in the truck and that works just fine. It locks and I really do like that feature.

After 5 years I have not had any problems with it.

I know our local Kmart, Walmart and I think Target sells some kind of car/truck cover. They have different levels too like economy and regular and HD ones. I am not sure what is in your area but it may be worth looking local to see what they have. I think the hard part is going to find a cover that will fit your CC SB. You may be forced into buying a semi-fitted cover from the net.
