So I already did the Front Torsion Bar crank, then I moved on to the rear. Thinking it wouldn't be too difficult.

I have the rear jacked up so the shackle has no pressure, the outside plate slides off.. but I cant seem to get the other half off, prying, hammering, nothing has worked. Stopped before I damaged anything.

Any advice pics, etc from you guys.. I really dont wanna drive around with the front 1 1/2 inches higher than the rear haha.

Was about to do that.. Did the exhaust get in the way at all.. it looks like it is right in the path for the shackle to slide off.

PB blaster works great for me. An air hammer helps too. Soak it over night if you can with a couple of shots of PB, then go at it.

good luck

Thx guys, the PB blaster did the trick..

couple things to keep in the thread for future reference:

1. PB Blaster is a must
2. Highlift Jack to lift the rear made it much easier
3. Unbolt the hanger bolt holding the exhaust on which is located right above the shackle
4. 6 inch 1/2 extension and a rubber mallet and a few slams and they pop right off!

I had to drop the spare tire out of mine to get the right shackle to come off as well.
OH! Good point, so did I. Thx for reminding me!
