ok so my 05 frontier has like 2800 miles on it now and the past few times i've filled the tank it says like 260 miles till empty when it used to read over 300 when i would fill it? and there doesn't seem to be a way to reset it? i think this can't be accurate why would my gas tank suddenly seem smaller? anyone else have this issue?

had a similar problem a few times. seems to be that it only happened when my wife would let the fuel level get extremely low! once i let the tank "get back to normal" and filled it up a few times no lower than 1/4 tank it reads high again.

well the weird thing is when i fill up the number comes up and doesn't change, when i tow my boat i get like 12-13 mpg and when i'm not towing i get like 15-17mpg but the DTE doesn't seem to be affected by this which doesn't make sense?

Not accurate anyway
The thing is not accurate anyway. I have let my low level light come on and the countdown go to zero. I then drove another 50 miles (with a full gas gan in back) to see just how much gas was left in tank when the computer read empty. To my estimate when I filled back up there is still about 3-4 gallons in tank when computer reads empty.
