So here's what's going on:

When I turn my head lights on, my trailer turn signals and brake light don't work. They still work on the truck, just not back at the trailer wire connection. When I turn the head lights off, everything works fine. Maybe its my ground? What did you hook your ground to?

My ground is hooked onto a cross member on the truck box and I wonder if that's the problem, maybe?

Did you use a Nissan wiring harness or aftermarket? If it is aftermarket..... that is your problem. It needs the relays.

I would suggest that you re-check the wiring. If anything, check to make sure there are no shorts in the system with an ohm meter.

SDHarleydad is confusing 2nd gen frontiers with the 1st gen ones. The 2nd gens have a lot more electronics and aftermarket hack jobs cause extreme issues resulting in burnt wiring to cooked compluters.
