Worse thing about the R52 Pathfinders is the CVT transmission, especially the first few years. If you want the CVT to last, service the CVT fluid every 30,000 miles. It's a pain to do and you need a scan tool to do it, plus the fluid is expensive. It's more expensive to have a shop do it. But, that's the key to making those JATCO CVT transmissions last.
