Ok, took the new fronty on a little trip and got stuck in a swamp. Looked like a slight hill with grass on it but turned out to be total muck. Got some guys to help pull me out but we debated a bit on where to hook onto in the front. I have installed a westin bullbar and took off my tow hook in the process. We obviously got out but wanted to know what others have done.

Has anyone retrofitted their tow hook back on after a bullbar install? What other strong points do you recommend or alternatives for installing other front tow points?

not sure how the bars installed but im guessing its in the tow hooks spots.Couldnt you use longer bolts and put the hooks back?

if you look around the net you can find pics where those bars cause more damage when hit then you would without it

You can buy a nice aftermarket bumper the has the hoop you want and some great tow points.

I honestly don't understand the point of a bull bar. Most of them take away from your ground clearance in the front. Seems an aftermarket bumper is the way to go.
