these guys have the best kit for function and quality i've seen yet. but on the flip side they are hella expenive  plus they dont come w/ the 8" travel 2.5" coilovers, the rear lift springs and other accessories that you'll need to get the job done. this kit is a long travel suspenion. we are talking about 5" of lift, 13" of wheel travel, and 6"of width
increase. the kit will fit 00'-04' 2x4. they have a kit for the 4x4 as well but the specs are different and the price is cheper. for the 2x4 i went to fly-n-high here in phoenix and they said it would cost $2551.50 just for the kit and another $400 a pop for the coilovers.
then add the price for new wheels and tires damn, that way out of my price range. i need to win the lotto.

ohhh... Thats gotta be a pretty good comparison, although both products will be on par with e/o. I would say get which ever one you feel will get the job done. Long travel, kicks ***.

i e-mailed SLP to give me a comparison between the two kits.[/quote] well slp e-mailed me back. here is what they said,

Our systems differ in the quality of the construction. Our upper control arm takes advantage of one piece billet construction if you are going to use torsion bars, or a TIG welded plate design to run coilovers. Our lower control arm is a internally gusseted TIG welded box-design, drawing inspiration from trophy truck designed lower control arms. Our price is competitive, and is being finalized as we speak. It will be a little bit more then the Chaos system, but you will get what you pay for, as our construction process produces a much higher quality and stronger finished product. We can also help you out with some solutions for the rear of your truck, most likely a progressive rate replacement spring pack and some good Bilstein shocks to back it up. If you have any additional questions, feel free to call the shop at 951-688-2025. thank you for your interest in SLR and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hey Jojo,

I am confused. The Total Chaos kit is for the 00-04. Do they have a kit that will fit your Pathy other than the UCA's? Or do you have an older Frontier that I don't know about.

SLR' s will work on the front but have they made a rear Susp set up for your Pathy?

Just wonderin...

The TC UCAs will fit the Calmini Kit. Probably get you about 1/2" of down travel. You will need longer shocks to make any real difference. Not sure what the limits are on the Calmini kit but with my lift I gettting close to 10" of travel.

yeah jojo tc is worth every dollar though, ive been following them for a while because i was interested in a taco and their long travel stuff is the best-this kit has been out for a long time actually and if i hadnt got such a deal on my new one i would have went the 1st gen route.

I agree, total choas puts out great stuff. The long travel kit for the 05 and up tacos are pretty sweet. Unfortunatly they have no interest in designing a long travel for the 2nd gen Frontys

SLR is putting a long travel kit on MY 05 Frontier right now, It's basically the titan LCA, that has been boxed, and King Coil over and longer axels.. I will have my truck back hopefully Friday, it's basically the titan conversion, with custom UCA, it will be the same as the SEMA truck with out the droping the Front Diff so I will only get 3 inches of lift. but 11 inches of wheel travel.

I already have BFG AT 285/75/16 so I don't need new tires, there great for washes out here. I asked about the fiberglass fenders and he said it up to me.. it look like I'm going to stick out about 2 inches from the fender so I might.. but it's something I can do later. I got more important things I need to to ad to the truck like skid plates.. The cops here only bust people for no fenders when it rains and they can see the roaster tail, and then I think it’s a fix it ticket.

Oh yeah, thats Right ... for some reason I thought you had a 2nd gen Fronty when you traded for the Pathy.

Too bad the Calmini kit does't have as much travel. Their Pathy looks nice on the website.
