Any one have a Torque converter laying around? I need some measurements.

Some Titan owners have replaced/upgradded theirs for higher stall. It may be worth a trip over to clubtitan to see if they put up any specs.

im putting a 4l80e in the truck with manual valve body.

if we run the same one as the titan id be good to go. But i dont know if we do or not.

4l80 is a perfect move. but why the nissan tq converter. that would just be another weak point.

It sounds like the OP has found that the adapter plate made for the VK56 will bolt to the VQ40 but the one thing that is holding him up is if the VK and VQ use the same TQ converter or not. This may change the thickness of the adapter and if the stock TQ converter and flexplate could be used or not.

My only question is why a 4l80e? Cost, Options, Durability?

i dont know how well the adapter will work if its for the vk. completely different realm of bolt placement.
