I found a local guy who will powdercoat wheels for around $25 a wheel. I am debating on doing it as I think black wheels always look good on white trucks. I know I could paint with wheel paint, but its a brand new truck and want to do it with the best possible finish.

Any opinions?

Also, does anyone have any photos of 09+ SE wheels powdercoated or painted black? I've seen the older style wheels but wonder what the newer ones would look like.

for $100 i say get them coated thats next to nothing to get your wheels done, you will need to dismount and remount your tires so maybe like $300 by they time your done with everything still worth it

Sounds like a good idea for a fresher look without spending a lot of extra dough for new wheels... my buddy also had an idea for the 4-spoke LE wheels, seen as how all of the 4 spokes are nice and flat he was gonna think of some designs to CNC onto them

Hmm... Mentioned something to the wife today and she said no it wouldnt look good. She rarely drives it so its ultimately my decision, but I am sure I dont have to tell anyone its easier when your spouse agrees with you.

I received an email back from the powdercoater. I originaly inquired on why it was so inexpenisive and he said he owns his own equipment and has no overhead and doesnt overcharge for the materials. Said he could have them done in 5 - 6 hrs. Not sure what the tire shop would charge to dismount and mount my tires. Maybe $15 - $20 a wheel? I would still be under $200 total.

Something to think about...
