To all that have put an auto tranny in

I drive a 99 auto 2.4.. i'm trying to get tranny back in, how do I get the dipstick back in? As it goes back up? Seems like if I try this it's holding me off..

Do I need to take egr valve out? I think that's what's stopping me from getting it in after the tranny is installed..

I can't figure it out. Trial and error is getting as I am doing this by myself.. anybody?

After you get the trans bolted to the engine block, start raising the transmission and install the dipstick tube (without the dipstick) before you get the transmission all the way up into place.
