I've been considering doing the titan suspension swap for a while now. I have Radflo's, and aal's on order. My concern is that im not going to be able to get the LCA bolts out and im gona have to cut 'em, there by rendering my LCA's useless. So, in anticipation of having to most likely find LCA's, i was thinking for very little extra (aside from axles. im getting to that) I could prob get titan lowers and Uppers. Tie rod ends, I would just by new titan inners. BUT, i don't wanna have to go around for what would likely be til mid winter with no 4x4, cause $400 for axles is just too much extra. This leads me to my question.
I have a friend who says his brother builds drive shafts and axles for a living. He claims that he could get his bro to extend my axles, however I need! Can this be done? Because he would probably get me a crazy deal on the work to do it. And it would maybe make doing the swap more financially feasible.

As usual, any information or guidence is appreciated.

Thanks

guys actually race on sleeved and extended axles. not the best option, and clearance you would meed to sleeve it near the inner cv. But if he can balance drive shafts, he should be able ti balance an axle.

AndrewVK: I got excited for a second, all I read was "you can have mine.". Then noticed you wanted money for them. lol. Sorry but not so "low budget".

Nizmut: That was something that my friend seem to specify very clearly too when telling me about his brothers work. Said they balance all the drive shafts to 10k rpm. And that mine would be a cake walk cause they do track car axles and shafts for big HP often.

And in relation to the sleeving clearance. Do we have the room to do that?? And would anyone happen to know exactly how much would need to be added?

Thanks guys.

If your buddy can't extend your axles, why not just do the diff swap with real T halfshafts? This may cost a little more but will give you a stronger diff that apparently will have gears available soon-ish. Heck, why not set-up your system to be a complete Titan swap from axles to brakes, lol.

Just some suggestions but I understand that "low budget" will likely decide what you can do and what you can't right now.

^^^That is ultimately what I would like to do cause I have an LE. But, budget will likely say otherwise. One day I will get to the point where I will do both ends. I REEEEAAALLLLY want a fu(king LSD in the worst way. I like having ABLS for winter driving, I think its good for slippery road situations and has saved my but a few times on the highway in icy conditions when I was going too fast. BUT, I would give it up in a heart beat for an LSD. CAN'T STAND ONE WHEEL PEEL.
