Does anyone have any info about what is needed or the best way to go about it?

I'm in an interesting situation where I need to rebuild the back end of an 07 KC SE-V6 Auto 4x2 (my dads truck that was rear ended and "totaled" that we're making a work truck). He said if I can take the parts from my truck and put them on the 07 and upgrade mine, it works out even better...

Soooo, I've already found a few 08+ axles, but I hear there are no good limited slip options for them. I guess my questions are, what type of work is it to get one going and is it a better option to just find a junkyard replacement for the stock axle and upgrade my D44h?

I've done all of the work on my truck so far, and I can weld, so those aren't limiting factors. And I was planning on doing the rear end soon (see this post: http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f26/what-will-happen-60831/) , so this just speeds up the process...

Any info is helpful, so throw your ideas at me.

Thanks

P.S. here is a pic of the 07. suprisingly, little frame damage, and we're going with a flat bed. Plus I have the whole front suspension off of my truck...

Thanks for the info, I think I'm in the same boat as you. For the $$$, I could do a better setup with the stock axle and get the 10 leaf from PRG and do some thru the bed shocks (unless the piggyback SAWs are really good).

I also agree with rerlandson about not having too much lift. I'd love to have a truck sit lower with a lot of suspension travel. I don't like having a really tall truck like I do now with those blocks.

Le's don't have ujoints between the propeller shaft and diff, they have like a cv joint(rappaza or something). So I guess a custom shaft would have to go in.

For someone like me who has the c200k and wants better offroad experience (short of buying a 4wd) what should I do? The cheapest route... Nismo m226 swap? Or Titan rear end swap?

Which would be easier/cheaper

Well, that whole plan was scrapped. Cost of buying the truck back was higher than expected and we'd rather spend the $$ on the current work truck. :thatswck:

Ohh well. Deaver replacements from Greg for the time being. That is, until I save up for the 10 leaf pack and piggybacks. :)
