I just got a new set of 31x1050x15 Federal MTs for my XE today. I am going to have them put on tomorrow morning. What are the pros and cons to having 31s? I put a 2" leveling kit on the front and I have ordered 1.5" blocks for the rear from PRG. I wouldnt think that it would be that much different since 235s are around 29" tall, so two inches shouldnt be any different maybe a little bit since it is a 4cyl.

New Tire Numbers

With taller, wider, & more heavy a tire, .... there is "Power Loss".
I replaced the OEM General 235/75R15 Grabbers for a larger 265/70R15 set.
Not too bad power loss and better control on the 2.5L Four Banger.
.
Here's a chart of tire sizes that could replace the 4 Banger OEMs.
The Nissan Girls are there only to get your attention.
Note the Revs Per Mile numbers.
.
When you change from the 235/75R15 to 31x1050R15 .....
the Revs Per Mile go from 719 to 684.
That's going to give you a false Speedometer reading.

Well I tested my speedometer with my GPS and it was right on according to the GPS. And as for power loss, the only real change that I noticed was in 5 gear of course which is the weakest, but I was expecting it. It is not that bad though, the 2.5L cant accelerate for crap anyway with the stock tires so its about the same.
