Hi Folks-- Need some input.

Early November the whine starts in my '06 Frontier. Still in my 3yrs/36k warranty @ about 32k miles.

Dealer keeps the truck for 4 days to do the repair after the parts come in.

Less than a tank of gas later engine starts making crazy loud diesel about to explode noise.

Back to the dealer who says a bolt that attaches one of the tensioners broke off.

They replace it and send me on my way.

Anyone else have similar issue?
Should I try another dealer?

Getting a bit worried I am heading for some larger issues as I have just past my 3 years.

THANKS for any advice

Mine went in for the timing chains recently. I got it back and noticed an oil leak. They took it back for another 4 days to fix that.

Strange to me was the fact that it took them 2 days to fix the original problem and 4 days to fix the oil leak caused by fixing the original problem.

Get it in writing that a part broke after the repair and what was wrong. If it's part of the vehicle repair history they will be on the hook should there be a failure in this area in the future. Do you have a second repair invoice listing the replaced parts?
