Talofa from Samoa

talofa from the sunny islands of samoa,
i must admit my technical knowledge of cars is limited to changing the oil, coolant and tires, anything else i leave to the experts. That is exactly what i hope to change here, i would like to be able to go the mechanic and not just nod my heads in agreement at everything he says.
I am having a few problems now and would love any help I could get. I have a bright yellow, 2000 Frontier Crew. I did buy from the US; CA so still gets my parts from there.
