I picked up a used tailgate extender today for $50. Got home and realized it's for the track system. Will it still work with if I buy the brackets that bolt to the inside of the bed?

I don't think you can install the utilitarac on a regular bed... Aren't the nuts welded to the underside of the sheet metal?

He's not wanting to use the tracks.

But I do t think it will work because of the width difference. I think the fixed extender is skinnier than the track extender. But again, I may be completely wrong. Give it a try and if it doesn't work, return the brackets and sell the extender for what you got it for.

Thanks guys. My last Frontier all you did was replace rear tie down brackets with the extender ones and slip it in the slot.
