Just an FYI, I bought my truck 2 months ago, and was just looking at the right hand bolt--found that it was very loose...it was not perpendicular to the tailgate...so I tightened it. I noticed it was a little difficult to close the tailgate and get it to consistently close on both sides. Anyway, just thought I'd share...figured it's much easier to tighten it now then pay for a new tailgate/bolt.
