I am going to switch to manual hubs, is it just a straight forward swap?? remove the auto hubs and replace with the manual or is there other stuff that needs to be done?? anyone have a write up and or part #'s

Why are you switching? It is a easy swap.

I think I have one of the autos going out and I know the warns are alot tuffer. do you know the part #'s I have looked at the warn website but I am sure I can get them cheaper someplace else. are the hubs all that need changed??

I did mine a month ago (AVM hubs) and its pretty straight forward. Took me about 1h to do both sides.

Are those made in china? Mighty cheap!! There is another one out there called Ridge something or other for under 2 hundred for pair, may be china also.

Get them at 4x4parts.com - good service, and they are a nissan only shop. They won't steer ya wrong.

Also. DO NOT GREASE the hubs. found that one out the hard way...lol

AVM hubs are made in Brazil it seems and been around since 1957

the AVMs and Warns are both nice and will last. just keep them tight. on the warns...the bolts that hold them on have a tendancy to loosen up over time.
