Hi all,

I have a question regarding a possiblity of swappting out OEM 30-pin ipod cable for something that will connect to Android, USB drive, etc.

Its a 2012 Pro4x with OEM Rockford Fosgate, Sat Radio, 6-disc changer, and iPod interface. The iPod 30-pin cable that's in the glove box, plugs into the iPod gateway, and the plug is pictured below (10-pin mini DIN I'm guessing?).

I've used the 3.5mm AUX plug but the sound quality isn't that good. Was thinking that the iPod connection would be better.

Would appreciate any advice!

Hmm. If you got am adapter to fit, not sure if the radio has the programming to talk with the android device?

Also, I have the RF 6 disc radio in my 2010 and I have only seen the aux cord port. I looked behind the glove box and didn't see and connectors, would you mind taking a few pics of the cord in/around the glove box?

The other end in the glove box is a male 30-pin ipod connector (see pic). I believe it was a paid option to have the ipod connector, so not everyone has them.
Gotcha. Appreciate ya taking the picture. Gonna try to get one for my radio
