Helps to scrape the "crispies" off the edge of the blades w/a penknife once in a while. My wipers work streak free 'till they rot. About 3 years. Might try the potato, tho. I've heard of that before. I hate rain x, also.
Streaking windshield?
Sorry if this has been discused already, the search function doesn't work with my iPhone. My windshield streaks when it rains. It's VERY difficult to see at night when it's raining. I bought the truck used so maybe someone put RainX on it. I'd like to know how to correct it if it's factory or RainX. I am about to replace the windshield it's so bad.

The knife's on my belt and takes about 10 seconds while I'm filling up. Zero risk. I do wipe down the blades, once or twice a year, w/ruglyde.
