Is this true? I was reading in a few different places that the Stillen spacers give a little bit higher lift then the PRG spacers. Anyone know if this is true? And if so is it really that significant when putting on 285/75r16. Thanks.

I have the PRG kit on my truck, and it also bottoms easily off road.On road it is bearly acceptable to me .Speedbumps are bad,but I will live with it ,because it looks so much better, and my truck is primarily street driven.
Dirt roads are ok if they aren't deeply rutted.
I am still running my stock nismo 16 inchers for now but hope to go to a 285 when they wear out.
I would not reccomend any spacer/levelling kit for moderate to heavy off roading. The 8O WHACK 8O when you bottom is scary sounding..its more like the sound of hitting a curb at 50mph...ouch

I had more fun off road before the kit,but that is the what you get for 250.00.
If you want a lift, and better off road capability than stock,You gotta spend over a thousand for the 5" suspension kit from Calmini.(which I would like someday)

if you want a lift/suspension upgrade i'll recomend the SLR 5.5 system especially if your going to be doing some offroading. Plus if you do dont forget to add some bumpstops so you wont be bottoming and end up having a painful neck and a damaged frame. just my .02

Yes, The Stillen's are taller. I initially installed the 2" high Stillen spacers on my truck. They give 3 to 3 1/4' of lift to the front. The downside is that there is only about 1/2' of clearance between the upper a-arm and the top of the shock tower after the install, and on any slight downward bump in the road (and constantly off-road) the upper a-arm is clanking into the shock tower. It is very loud and very annoying! Very, very annoying!!!

I talked with Greg (PRG), and went with his initial spacer. It was a 1 3/4" spacer, and gave me right around a 2 1/2 front lift. It is not as noisy as the Stillen was because there is more room for the a arms to move down before hitting the towers. It still happens though (and especially off-road). I believe this is why Greg's newest spacers now only provide a 2" lift (give even more room between a arms and bucket and thus less impacts).

Anyhow, I had my LT 285/75R16s on for both these setups (also have 2 1/2" rear lift via an add-a-leaf setup). There is no difference in clearance. In both setups, these 33" tires are tight, but do fit and work well. I was able to keep the front mud guards, but did have to modify them slighty by removing material in one area where the tires rubbed when at partial lock. Hope this helps.

Greg is sending me the revised front spacer(1/2 inch lower lift)
This will help a little, but not stop it,on my truck.
By looking at it,it seems that a new control arm with an arch to it for clearance,or a spacer between the ball joint, might work.I am not sure if that would make the shock overextend or not, though.
I can live with the kit for a while, since most of my driving is on road (or slow off road)

Someday, when i am rich  I will get a REAL lift. For now,I think the price is right on the PRG kit,for what you get overall.
