Thats your airbag. you should show that to the dealer. May be a dangerous issue.

Yeah. Even though it is cracked, it just can't randomly deploy can it? It has to be hit from the front to set of the sensor or something right?

I would get someone to look at it. There is more than one design of airbag and they operate differently. It could be a safety issue. (If you care about that kinda thing). But like you said it does have to receive a signal from a sensor before it deploys. If it does...
