Yesterday when I was leaving work I started my truck and it wouldn't turn over. So i turned the key back and tried again, then it started. When the truck started the gauge needles wouldn't move and they started shaking. But after about 10 seconds they went into normal position. The voltage gauge reads the same as it always has. I got home and shut it off and tried starting it again, no problems. This morning I left for work and I had the same problem it struggled but it started on the first try. Same problem with the gauge needles they shaked but 10 sec later went back into position. One other thing I noticed this morning was my trips reset to zero. It seems when it sits that it has problems, yesterday it sat for maybe 9 hours and last night sat for 13 hours. Last week I installed a new radio in the truck so i might think that could be the culprit but I am sure I didn't it 100% correct.
It is still under warranty but I hate to take it to the dealer because nothing is going to be wrong when I bring it it has to sit for an extended period of time. And they are going to say oh we can't find anything wrong.
Any ideas of what might be the problem are appreciated...thanks
The truck is an 2009 Nissan frontier SE crew cab with 22,000 miles about 15 months old.
