Hmmmm, odd.
Have you had the battery tested?
Our batteries are notorious for failing prematurely.
It wouldn't be the first time one died very early in it's life cycle.

UPDATE: just checked my voltage with a volt meter i am getting 10.66 volts after sitting for two hours, I think its the battery

Question is:

1) Is it really the battery?

OR

2) Is something putting a drain on an otherwise perfectly good battery?

how could I tell?

Other than swapping out the battery you'd have to track down the drain which can be a tedious task at best.
Obviously check the last thing that has changed on the electrical system first (the new headunit you installed).
