Well i just got done doing an engine swap since my orig engine thru a rod at 141k, but my starter just spins and doesn't engage all the way. it turns the engine alittle then disengages and just spins, i took the starter out and got it tested.. 3 times, it passed all 3 times, teeth on both sides are good, i put my dads diesel battery in there and still did the same thing.. i used the same flywheel and starter from the other engine, and besides the starter still worked when i thru the rod... any ideas? im stumped.. also the engine starts/run fine if i bump start it

well i just called the junkyard and he told me something, that for automatics theres a shim on the crank thats different from manuals i noticed this that the crank end werre the flywheel bolts up was different then the orig engine, and the hold to put the pilot bearing was .760 when the bearing was .814 so i shaved it down and thru it in there.
