Let me just start by saying that you guys are the best. I've got a bunch of great info already from many of you.

However, my last question (hopefully :)) is what do most of you do about the variance in your speedometer after putting a lift on? I've called many calibration places including UpRev out of TX and in everycase I've been told that it's not possible to correct the speedometer on the 2010 Frontier since it's actually a calculation from many different ECU's and that they are not reprogrammable anyway.

So, even though it seems that the answer must be that if you lift your truck you just have to live with the speedo being off, I thought I'd ask what you guys are doing to correct the problem if anything?

Thanks a lot!

I did nothing as I am sure most have not cause there is really not a way to do it, however, After installing lift and tires when I pass one of those radar thing on the road I am pretty much spot on, when it was stock it was off a little. I had to put the 33" tires on it to calibrate!

If you go from a 265/75R16 to a R285/75R16

Your speedo and everything will be 4% off of what it was.

I'll have to double check but I think the CORTEX will solve that speedo issue.

Funny, when I talked to hypertech they told me that they couldn't guarantee that it would work for me, I wonder if something has changed.
Hypertech is gay. You cannot adjust the timing. They told me you cannot adjust the speedo on Nissans. and you are relegated to the tunes that they provide for you.

you dont need to adjust your speedo from a lift. you may need to adjust it if you change tire size though....

What model do you have and what size tires are you planning on putting on? The speedo was off on my SE before I replaced the tires. I went with 265/75/16 and now my speedo is right on according to my GPS. I remember someone else on here saying the same thing happened to them.

That's the tire size that comes on the Pro 4X stock...which leads me to wonder if they just calibrate all the models for that tire size.

Trip meter and odometer are obviously a little off now...but I'd rather have the accurate speedo, and I'm glad my tire upgrade fixed it.

Hint #2 - search for Hypertech and In-Line Speedometer Calibrator. Dubie was not referring to the power programmer

if your speedo is accurate then so is your trip meter and odometer

I spoke with a HyperTech support person today and he acknowledged that they don't support 09-11 Frontiers yet. He wasn't sure why. So does that mean that there really isn't anything that can be done then?

That usually means they have yet to test it on an 09-11. If it works on the 08 that are Consult III as opposed to the 05-07 Consult II system, then it should be fine.

Maybe you should call them back and ask them if it is a testing issue and if so, maybe they can cut you a deal so you can test it and either confirm or deny.

Even with 35's I'm really not off that much, so I don't worry about it. If you are running 35's or larger and you make sure your spedo reads right on whatever the limit is, you are going a safe amount over.
