Hi all,
I'm changing out my speakers in my 06 Frontier...Would anyone know which is positive and which is negative in the following speaker wire combos? I've only done the front so far:
Front right: blue & blue w/ black stripe (I'm thinking blue w/ black stripe is negative)
Front left: blue w/ white stripe & blue w/ red stripe (have no clue here)
Rear right: TBD
Rear left: TBD
Any insight would be appreciated! PS I haven't removed the headunit yet, but when I do I guess I'll know for sure...just didn't want to do that yet since I don't have my replacement yet.
Thanks,
Wes.
Oh yeah, I should add I just installed Alpine 69LP in the front doors using just the stock deck, they sound pretty good. I'm just worried the polarity is messed up. Overall, for $90, they're not bad...I wouldn't say they blew me away, but they do sound better than the stocks. At least the highs are there now. Just be sure to try and seal the speaker, so that you keep as much air in the stock plastic mount as possible, I think it helps with bass response. I just used electrical tape and wrapped it around the entire rim of the speaker tight...They definitely sound better with the seal and the panels on, so don't be too worried when you test em before putting everything back together.
