I have heard before that the power wires leading to the amp should be kept away from the Preamp (RCA wires) because they can cause interference. Does the same hold true for the speaker wires coming out of the amp. It will be easy keeping the RCA wires clear...but the speaker wires will be tougher.

It's fine. Speaker-level signals are not very prone to picking up interference. You can run your speaker wires near power cables, both the main amp power cable and speaker wires carry high current, but relatively low" voltage (12-14.4v DC area) so it'll take a huge amount of power movement to affect each other.

However, you're right - the "keep line-level RCAs away from power/speaker wires" is a good rule to follow. RCA's are more prone to picking up interference because line-level is super low voltage, and any interference will be easily picked up.
