Price is going to vary depending on the setup you want. Are you going with leafs or coils? Axle options are numerous but you need to figure out what size tires you want to run to help determine the gearing you need to be able to handle them. For the front a lot of people run a Wagoneer D44. Also are you doing the fabbing/welding yourself or is a shop doing it for you? That will easily double the cost if someone else is doing it.

BTW there is an Axle Section further down the forum where you could find plenty of info on SASing. You could also try using the search for "SAS." You'll find lots of information.
Foa coilovers, shops going to do it. I think I need an axle with the same gearing as the rear. Not looking into anything extreme. Just an all around off road vehicle.
Yes you need an axle with the same gearing as the rear..what gears are you running in the rear? A SAS is pretty much for extreme wheeling. And if a shop is doing all the work for you on a coilover setup I can't say to expect it to be much less than what they quoted you for the pre-runner stuff.
We originally had 4.9s in the rear h233b and 4.88s up front in a 1980 wagoneer D44. we were on 35" KM2s. We did change out the rear axle later on for better gearing as the 4.88s were a bit weak to push the 35s, specially up hill climbs.
