Price is going to vary depending on the setup you want. Are you going with leafs or coils? Axle options are numerous but you need to figure out what size tires you want to run to help determine the gearing you need to be able to handle them. For the front a lot of people run a Wagoneer D44. Also are you doing the fabbing/welding yourself or is a shop doing it for you? That will easily double the cost if someone else is doing it.

BTW there is an Axle Section further down the forum where you could find plenty of info on SASing. You could also try using the search for "SAS." You'll find lots of information.

Foa coilovers, shops going to do it. I think I need an axle with the same gearing as the rear. Not looking into anything extreme. Just an all around off road vehicle.

Yes, but I got quoated 8200 for Ibeam setup from BTF. Looking into maybe a d44 up front. I would get more use out of a 4x4. Still have the transfer case. Riding on 265's.

Yes you need an axle with the same gearing as the rear..what gears are you running in the rear? A SAS is pretty much for extreme wheeling. And if a shop is doing all the work for you on a coilover setup I can't say to expect it to be much less than what they quoted you for the pre-runner stuff.

What is the stock gearing on the frontier. Most of the quote was for the labor and fab.

4.89s are gonna be pretty tall for anything over 33s. You need to consider going to 5:13s for 35s. I did my SAS myself and still spent about 6k so just expect alot of expense eppcially if a shop is doing it for ya. But its fun once its done!

If you are on a budget and really want to convert to i-beams contact Perry McNeil. It may not be the prettiest looking fabrication; but the man knows his beams. It will be solid as sh!t, cheap as sh!t, and if something doesn't work or breaks he stand by his sh!t and will fix it. PM me for his cell # if you want it.

Here is a Toyota he has done..

with front coilovers, your only option would be a three link. if you are going to keep your steering box, the steering arm location is going to determine where you must place the axle.
the most important part of a three link is that the draglink is parallel with the trackbar at ride height.

get your joints from ballistic and you won't have to think about them again, besides greasing them from time to time. use them for the upper link, and two lower links (total of 6).
Forged Chromoly 2.63" Ballistic Joint
i'm running a heim for my frameside mouting point for the upper link and i will be replacing it with a horizontally mounted ballistic joint.

i'm running 5.13's with my 35" tires and they are great. speedo is pretty accurate (+/- 5mph) too.

you are also going to have to modify the tcase crossmember for front driveshaft clearance.

Thanks for the help. I was considering perry. I think his beam setup runs around 5 k. Seen his work too. Its beaming it, sas it, or junken it. Weighing out my options. The sas sounds like as much work or if not more than beaming it. If anyone wants pics of the carnage i'll post them later. Got plenty. The guy that did it moved and probably skiped town. I keep seeing your truck terrible one in OB looks sick.. I'll get his # off the site. If not I'll PM you.
