I'm getting ready to install my eBay snorkel, the install seems pretty straight forward but seeings how it didn't come with any instructions I just have one questions right now. Does the hard plastic inlet duct attach directily to the snorkel?
The reason I ask is the pieces I have seem to be just about the same size and I'm not sure they'll fit together with a lot of help. I might just hit the snorkel attachment area with a heat gun to try and soften it up a bit to get them to fit or get some silicon tubbing instead. I'm going on the impression the silicon hose the kit came with goes from the hard plastic inlet duct to the air box. Thanks for any help!

Here is a thread that I found about this snorkel. Ask the thread starter for more info about the snorkel. He talked about it in the latest posts in his threads.

That looks like mine, I was able to attach that before I mounted it which made things easy. RTV and self tapping screws to mount it. Plastic to plastic.
Thanks for letting me know, that's what I was afraid of. There's no way my snorkel will attach to that duct piece, I'll have to get a piece of silicon hose or such to mount them together instead.
