I did it back in the 80's (yes, I'm an old fart). From what I recall, it was a good tour, but I would recommend the Corvette plant and museum tour over it. 
It's just North of Nashville in Bowling Green, KY. There's nothing better than seeing every Corvette tearing up the dyno there just prior to being shipped for dealer delivery.
