Hello
i have a 2007 frontier and i live in Alaska. i found some Nissan 16 inch steal rims on craigslist that the guy said came off a 2012 frontier. the tires are a 215/60/R16 Blizzaks Next to my 265/70/R16 tires these look way smaller. I understand that the speedometer is going to be off. and the truck will be about 2 inches lower.

what are your thoughts?
is this crazy should i get other tires or will it be fine.
thanks

Wynton

My fear aside from someone seeing me with those on my truck would be, Is the load rating high enough for the weight of the Frontier???????

Not a good choice at all... Your truck's curb weight is 4,600 pounds with a gross weight rating of approx 5,800 pounds. Stock tires are P-Metric so their weight ratings need to be reduced on trucks by 9 to 10 percent. Your 265/70R16 tires have a rating of 2,400 to 2,650 so let's just call it 2,500 x 4 = 10,000 - 1,000 = 9,000 rated. The tires you are looking at are likely rated at 1,384 x 4 = 5,536 - 10 % = 4,982 rated... They barely even cover your curb weight...
